Academic Tutoring

In February 2023, Chris Qin and Anthony He founded the Passion Exploration Project (PEP) with a mission to create learning opportunities for students and strengthen community engagement. Within the same month, PEP launched its first weekly Singapore Math tutoring program in Gwinnett with 21 volunteers serving 32 students.

Starting in summer 2023, PEP expanded its programs to include a wider range of educational and enrichment activities. Students participated in math, public speaking, coding, badminton, volleyball, crafts, knitting, chess, and other classes designed to support academic growth, creativity, and personal development.

PEP organizes its tutoring programs into three terms each year: spring, summer, and fall. By fall 2025, the organization had grown to serve more than 100 students with the support of 35 volunteer instructors. Through the dedication of volunteers and community support, PEP raised more than $20,000 to continue expanding its programs and providing meaningful opportunities for students.
