Amazing Race

In November 2023, PEP launched its first Amazing Race event at a park in Johns Creek. The event featured a 5K course with six activity stations, where children completed a challenge at each stop before moving to the next. Forty students in kindergarten through second grade took part, with support from 10 volunteers who guided activities, encouraged participants, and helped the event run smoothly.

The Amazing Race gave children an opportunity to stay active, solve problems, work together, and build confidence in a fun outdoor setting. Families gathered throughout the course to cheer on participants, creating an energetic and welcoming community event.

The positive response from children and parents led PEP to make the Amazing Race an annual tradition. The event returned in 2024 and 2025, bringing together new and returning families each year. What began as a single community activity has grown into a signature PEP program that continues to promote teamwork, healthy activity, and community connection.
