In February 2023, Chris Qin and Anthony He founded the Passion Exploration Project (PEP). That same month, they launched a weekly Singapore Math tutoring program in Gwinnett, starting with 21 volunteers teaching 32 students.

Beginning in the summer of 2023, the program gradually expanded to offer math, public speaking, coding, badminton, volleyball, crafts, knitting, chess, and more. Tutoring activities are organized into three terms each year—spring, summer, and fall.

By fall 2025, PEP had grown to serve over 100 students, supported by 35 volunteer instructors, and had raised more than $20,000.
