Camp for special need kids

Camp for special need kids

In summer 2023, PEP partnered with the nonprofit organization Truelove in Johns Creek to run a basketball summer camp for children with autism. The camp brought together 15 volunteers and 11 campers, and was warmly received by both parents and children. In the fall of 2023, PEP continued its support by organizing a series of weekend basketball training sessions for these children. The summer camp returned in 2024 and 2025, remaining one of PEP’s most beloved programs. PEP also fully funded the venue and prizes for these activities.

In June 2025, PEP partnered with the Center for Pan Asian Community Services (CPACS) to host a series of impactful Food Pantry events in Atlanta. Over $3,000 worth of food was purchased using PEP funds, helping to provide much-needed resources to local families. These efforts were further strengthened by generous food and vegetable donations from Costco and Walmart. The events were made possible thanks to the dedication of 14 volunteers, who gave their time to support food distribution, organization, and community engagement. The collaboration served hundreds of community members, reinforcing the power of local partnerships and shared commitment to food security.

Academic Tutoring

Academic Tutoring

In February 2023, Chris Qin and Anthony He founded the Passion Exploration Project (PEP). That same month, they launched a weekly Singapore Math tutoring program in Gwinnett, starting with 21 volunteers teaching 32 students. Beginning in the summer of 2023, the program gradually expanded to offer math, public speaking, coding, badminton, volleyball, crafts, knitting, chess, and more. Tutoring activities are organized into three terms each year—spring, summer, and fall. By fall 2025, PEP had grown to serve over 100 students, supported by 35 volunteer instructors, and had raised more than $20,000.

In spring 2023, PEP launched a basketball coaching program with 12 volunteers assisting coaches in training young athletes. Over time, this initiative expanded into a broader set of roles, including basketball assistant coaching, private basketball and tennis instruction, and league management.
